DESCRIPTION

This bottom fishing trip departs promptly at 6:30am from Maalaea Harbor, Maui, Slip #64. and returns at 12:30pm. It typically takes about an hour to reach some of the most productive spots, and you may fish a few different locations on any given trip. Locations for that day are determined by what's been biting recently, as well as current weather conditions.

Frequently caught species of fish include many varieties of snappers, trevallys, wrasses, as well as sea bass and the occasional shark. Bottom fishing anglers are invited to keep their catch..

On the way to and from the bottom fishing destinations, the boat will often high-speed troll for big game to make the most of your running time. By doing this, you have a chance of hooking up to any or all of the classic big game trophy fish such as marlin, yellowfin and skipjack tuna, mahi mahi, and ono. Any bottom fishing anglers who are into experiencing the thrill of big game fishing and the reward of mounting their catch are encouraged to participate at no additional cost.

REQUIRED FISHING LICENSE

• Hawai'i now requires a license for recreational ocean fishing for non-Hawai'i residents. If anyone in your party will be fishing you will need to obtain this license or risk fines from DLNR
• The license is easy to get at the Department of Land and Natural Resources-Division of Aquatic Resources website https://fishing.hawaii.gov/
• The cost is $20 for a 1-day license, $40 for a 7-day license, and $70 for an annual license. Nonresident youth under 15 years of age and all active-duty military personnel and their families do not need a license.
• If you are not able to purchase your license ahead of time, you can purchase a license day-of on your smartphone. If possible, please purchase your license before arriving to speed our departure process and avoid any delays due to connection issues.
